School Advisory Council (SAC)
The Hartsfield School Advisory Council (SAC) plays a vital role in supporting our school’s continuous improvement. In accordance with Florida Statute 1001.452 and Leon County Schools policy, SAC serves as an advisory group dedicated to helping Hartsfield provide the best possible educational experience for every student.
Every Florida public school has a School Advisory Council made up of parents, community members, teachers, school staff, and administrators. Working together, SAC helps guide school improvement by reviewing data, identifying school needs, and providing input on important decisions.
The Hartsfield SAC assists with:
- Reviewing and monitoring the School Improvement Plan (SIP)
- Providing input on school improvement priorities
- Reviewing the School Improvement Budget
- Assessing educational needs
- Supporting planning and evaluation of school programs
- Encouraging continuous school improvement
While SAC serves in an advisory capacity, its members play an essential role in the school improvement process by helping define goals, establish priorities, review budgets, and support initiatives that enhance student achievement.
SAC meetings are held monthly and are open to the public.
If you are interested in serving on the Hartsfield School Advisory Council or would like more information, please contact Principal John Olson.
