Principal’s Message

Dear Parents, Students, and Community Members,

No one has it better than we do at Hartsfield! I am honored to be the principal of Hartsfield Magnet School for International Studies. Every day I greet students as they walk through the gates, It is evident just how much excitement our students bring with them. I am proud to watch our school grow thanks to the efforts of our students and our school community. As the one and only International Baccalaureate Elementary school in Leon County, you can be sure that your students will be challenged to learn not only academics but how to thrive in the world around them.

We are honored that you chose to be a part of our journey to show our community how amazing our students are. Sending your child to Hartsfield means they are now a part of our family, and we will do all that we can to make sure they succeed. We believe in challenging our students academically by providing rigorous and relevant project-based learning. This means your student will not just sit behind a desk and listen to their teacher talk but that they will work with their peers to solve challenges and build new understandings through hands-on learning. This also allows our students to build meaningful connections with their peers and their teachers.

Welcome to our family! Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
